Where (and What) is Honbu?

Make it a habit to bring sparring
gear to class each day. If you need
some help getting necessary
equipment
not provided as a part of
your registration (mouthguard, cup,
etc.), or if you decide you want to
buy something beyond the basic gi
and sparring gear, here are some
suggestions
.

Here's a link to a YouTube video on
how to tie your belt. The only
difference between their way and
our way is that when we're done,
we make sure the knot is flat and
the ends of the belt are pointing
down.

If you are ordering new weapons,
the weapons page has links to
measuring and ordering information.
We're closed for Good Friday and Easter: 3/21-3/23

KoSho is teaming up with Terrence Webster-Doyle (Dr. T),
Bully Busters and Martial Arts for Peace to bring the Bully
Busters program to Tucson dojos and schools. Dr. T has
recently moved to Tucson, and we are thrilled to have him
here. If you're interested in getting involved more deeply
talk to one of the senseis. We'll get you more info as we
have it.

Students working weapons: Bring closed shoes so you can
train in outside (and sunscreen, sun glasses, etc.). If the
weather cooperates, we might do all or part of class out
in the back parking lot were we can swing a weapons
more easily.

3/18/08 There are new pictures on the picture page.

3/16/08 What's new? Just about everything. The site has
been reorganized and redesigned. There are some new
movies on the movie review page. The schedule has been
updated and posted. The "What Makes us Unique" page is
new as is the information on our dojo partners. if you like
what you see (or it you spot a typo), let Sensei Sue
know. She and her Alcuin Communications are behind the
changes. If you really like what you see, recommend
Alcuin to a friend who needs a web site.
